Gold standard MVHR ventilation servicingAt Flexivent we understand the importance of maintaining and servicing domestic ventilation systems.

It is recommended that an MVHR heat recovery System is serviced annually. This will ensure your system is set up correctly and working to its full potential.

Flexivent are pleased to be able to offer a comprehensive full system service at a competitive price for not just Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR), but also Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) and Positive Input Ventilation (PIV or PPU).

We provide ventilation servicing and maintenance from our Gloucestershire base, and additionally cover Bristol, Cardiff, Avon, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Monmouthshire, Herefordshire and the West Midlands.

Mechanical Ventilation with heat Recovery (MVHR or HRV) system servicing

After a thorough overview of the system we will carry out the following::

  • Our specialist NICEIC qualified engineer will perform a visual inspection to identify issues such as air leaks, excessive noise, blocked condensate drains, dirty and polluted heat exchanger (heat cube) and motors, damage to visible ducting and potential design and control issues.
  • Carry out a clean of the internal motors to include removal of dust and debris which can impact motor performance and then thoroughly sanitise the interior of the unit.
  • Clean and then sanitise the internal heat exchanger (heat cube) to aid in the efficiency of the system.
  • Replace the system filters with new.
  • Instruct in the fitting and supply a replacement set of new filters for interim fitting, after 6 months, by the end user.
  • Thorougly vacuum and clean with antibacterial sanitising spray the rooms extract and supply air valves and accessible duct connections.
  • Check external extract and supply vents, if safely accessible, and clean debris and confirm that the airflow rates are correctly balanced.
  • Check air flow rates and rebalance and adjust the system, if necessary, to comply with required airflow rates outlined in the Goverment legislation on ventilation: Approved Document F (updated June 2022).
  • Issue a certificate and servicing report.

After a thorough overview of the system we will carry out the following:

  • Our specialist NICEIC qualified engineer will perform a visual inspection to identify issues such as, excessive noise, dirty motors, damage to the PIV unit and potential design and control issues.
  • Carry out a clean of the motor to include removal of dust and debris which can impact motor performance and then thoroughly sanitise the interior of the unit.
  • Replace the filters with new.
  • Thorougly vacuum and clean with antibacterial sanitising spray the supply grille and accessible duct connections.
  • Check air flow rate with regard to manufacturers recommendations and rebalance and adjust the system, if necessary .
  • Issue a certificate and servicing report.
